Its the Great Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

Hopefully you got to see the moon this weekend. To me it looked like a giant pumpkin floating up there in the sky. It put on quite a spectacular show this weekend.

This is a picture of the moon from this morning. He woke up like this hehehe Looking good even though he has been up late every night this week.

If your feeling like pumpkin I have a smoothie recipe for you!
Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Smoothie *vegan

You need a blender ~here's what you put in it.
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup of frozen organic pumpkin
1/2 banana
1 tablespoon of creamy almond butter
1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
1/2 tablespoon of ground flax
1 scoop of your favorite protein powder ( I use Vanilla Raw Protein which is *Gluten Free *Vegan)

If you wanted to give it more of a fall kick you could add some nutmeg and cinnamon. I also like to add some probiotics for a healthy gut.  I like to add an extra cup of water and a few ice cubes since I do not prefer an overly thick smoothie. Hit that blender button and Viola you have one nourishing smoothie great for breakfast.

Southern California Style

Sometimes you need to just get outside and play thankfully we have lots of places in California to do just that. Some people probably run to the beach on the weekend in Southern California but in our family we run to the mountains. We love spontaneous, impromptu adventures. The kind where you wake up eat breakfast throw on your shoes and leave a trail of dust behind.

Weekend In Wales

So to make a long story short my husbands job is currently in the UK. He bounces around from England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. He has been doing a lot of commuting back and forth and sometimes I have been able to travel with him. Over the summer we had the opportunity to road trip and we drove all over Europe. We went to Amsterdam, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Scotland, and England. That was like crossing off a bucket list all at once which I will definitely have to write and share about in a future post. But that's a story for another day.

Just 2 weeks ago around the time of my birthday I was traveling with my husband and we decided to take a little road trip. We initially had planned to spend the weekend in Scotland (my most favorite place in the world) but we just did not feel up to the 8 hour drive. So we picked someplace closer that he really likes and we visited Wales.
He rented out for us a vintage Airtstream camper which was like heaven on earth after staying in stuffy hotel rooms all week.

It turned out to be a pretty memorable weekend. We did some hiking around a ruined castle, crawled through a cave, drove all across the countryside, cooked good food in the camper, and got some much needed R&R. Oh and I want to publicly thank my husband for putting up with me. I am not a savvy traveler and it is not easy traveling with a girl who has multiple food allergies and has a tendency to get hangry. He really should be sainted.

I will be daydreaming about this place and the time we spent together for a long time to come...

I was trying to day dream but my mind kept wandering...

Hey There

Hey There! Remember me? It's been a while and I have been on a blog hiatus for quite some time. Life got busy so I moved over to instagram for easy photo snippets of my life. But truth be told I have missed my spot over here and all the great parts of blogging. I missed the writing and the reading and the friends. So I am back and I feel like I should say something like new and improved or better than ever. But really it's just me up to much of the same shenanigans, doing what I love with my family living life full.  Life is always interesting and full of surprises and I am keeping true to my life motto although not always easy to Bloom Where I Am Planted. I am looking forward to writing and sharing my adventures again. Thanks for following along.
